Do you want an opportunity to utilize the breadth of your leadership skills to drive quality for advanced data warehousing, big data, and analytics technologies? eBay’s Analytics and Platform Delivery QE team is seeking a top-notch Sr. QE Manager who answers “yes” to questions like these. You will drive quality for one of the world’s largest data warehouses for collecting, analyzing, and driving commerce insights. Our data infrastructure empowers all product teams to innovate and shape the most powerful eBay customer experiences by understanding at a deep level how customers use our products on the live site.

• Using your management and quality engineering experience, work closely with peers in Product Management and Product Development to scope and prioritize projects, allocate resources, and plan the product roadmap. You will identify alternatives and trade-offs to provide detailed information to be used by executives in the planning process.

• Drive test automation efforts to maximize reusability, maintainability, and integration with infrastructure to maximize test coverage and efficiency.

• Provide guidance in the execution of projects, ensuring on-time delivery with results that meet or exceed commitments. You will handle escalations and resolve issues when they come up, and work to minimize them through mitigation and contingency planning.

• Play an active role in the continuous improvement process, identifying root causes and corrective actions to avoid repeating mistakes and constantly raise the level of performance of your team.

• Work with managers, leads, and senior technical contributors to find innovative ways to test more effectively. Establish and enforce standards which ensure sufficient quality as delivered by Product Development in your area.

• Mentor leads and assist their career growth, helping them to realize their full potential.

• Define test strategy and quality management for multiple product teams, drive best practices and quality processes, review test plans and product specifications to ensure test strategies focus on areas of greatest risk, and identify defects as early as possible in the development lifecycle.

Job Requirements

MSEE, CS or other relevant technical degree required.

• 10+ years professional related experience or Master’s Degree and 6+ years, or Doctorate and 4+ years

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
