Key Responsibilities Include:
- Track competitive and internal best practices, using these as well as your own creative thinking to help generate requirements and tools that keep eBay at the forefront of mobile analytics.
- Own and drive the requirements for the full ecosystem of tracking and reporting services, including tagging strategies, funnel design, end to end campaign measurement, report design and ad-hoc reporting tools.
- Work directly with adjacent product teams, mobile marketing, and both web and mobile analytics teams to ensure that each are getting the tools they need to drive constant improvement in the business.
- Write product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the design, development and quality teams. Your requirements should be based on deep and fundamental knowledge of the product, industry space, consumer research and feedback, as well as competitive products.
- Raise the level of awareness within the eBay Mobile division regarding the power and key benefits of measurement and analytics.
- Establish the product or project mission, goals, and supporting business and success metrics.
- Define and manage project and program plans, including a rolling 18-month roadmap of features and concepts for your product area.
- Work cross-functionally to manage project constraints or bottlenecks, provide appropriate escalation, anticipate and make delivery trade-offs, balance the business requirements versus technical constraints, and maximize the business benefit from your product while building great customer experiences.
- Identify, track and manage project issues, risks and action items.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to perform as a highly visible leader for our mobile analytics strategy, objectives, roadmap, and be an effective partner for our internal engineering, product and analytics teams.
- Must be able to travel ~25% of the time, primary teams are split between Portland and San Jose.
- Must be able to work creatively and independently in a fast-moving, competitive environment.
- An experienced technologist with the ability to synthesize both internal and external customer needs and competitive insights into product plans.
- Exceptional core project management skills: specifying product requirements, scheduling and driving features to completion
- Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile Product Development methodologies and processes
