Primary Job Responsibilities

Work as a member of the platform engineering team, designing features, coding, performing peer code, and fixing bugs.
Translate the functional requirements of mobile applications into Web Service solutions.
Design and implement highly scalable, reliable, extensible and maintainable applications and platforms while balancing various parameters like cost, constraints, requirements, and complexity
Help client app developers and product managers drive technical designs and release schedules
Work closely with engineering, product and QA teams responsible for client software development to ensure that designs meet actual needs and products meet design specifications.
Mentor Product Managers, QA engineers, Client application developers, and other team members in the requirements and constraints of web service schedules, while striving to reduce those constraints so that all teams can more fully realize their ambitions.

Job Requirements

Expert in Java and system architecture principles
Excellent knowledge of technologies that are core to large, high scale websites - distributed systems, cloud computing, web services, multi-tier serving architectures, and variety of presentation mechanisms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent knowledge of web technologies and web services standards such as REST, SOAP, WSDL, etc
Experience in Mobile Commerce and Social Commerce is desirable
Must be an active consumer of mobile applications and deeply familiar with the design considerations implicit in mobile application development


Education
BSCS or BSEE or Other Related 4yr Technical Degree
