eBay's X.commerce team is looking for an experienced, passionate technology leader who can work in a fast paced, start-up environment! We need people who want to work in an environment where they can put their own stamp on a product! The successful candidate will manage a service development team that will design and develop key merchant and consumer experiences in the X.commerce platform.

Specific job responsibilities:
• Work closely with your peers in software development, product management and operations to build a world class commerce platform.
• Lead, manage and motivate a development team to deliver on aggressive goals with exceptional quality.
• Work with product management and other development teams to manage dependencies while working towards a common goal.
• Be a mentor, technical and thought leader for a talented team of engineers, challenging them and helping them grow.
• Bring innovation to the table as we tackle ever larger pain points for our customers.
• Understand the business impact of features and make informed decisions about how to change your service to create more value for our customers.
• Work in conjunction with product management to drive your organization to technical and business success.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager who can work in a technically complex and challenging environment with a keen understanding of what it means to specify, develop and operate a 24 x 7 x 365 service. You must be passionate about quality and have experience building complex, scalable, high performance services.

Education:
This position will require travel of approximately 20% of the time.
BSCS or BSEE or Other Related 4yr Technical Degree
